…And another collaboration with Sebastian Khayat. As a frequent collaborator Dennis Hartmann composed the chilling soundtrack for Khayat’s horror short film „ITSY“.
The film was created for the BehindTheDoor film challenge of the online artist community COLLECTIVE.

„For the eerie and tense atmosphere of the visuals I followed two different approaches:
The first version I composed (and which Sebastian and I agreed upon not to continue any further) was heavily inspired and based on Danny Elfman’s music style – very adventurous, fairylike and choral. It would have set an entire different mood than the final outcome which has a distinct darker tone.
The approach I finally followed was to create an alarming underscore with lots of dissonant string clusters and precisely timed sound effects to continuously support the on-screen development until the final reveal of ITSY.“
